Christian Entrepreneurs: Mixing Religious Faith with Business

Just the other day, I had a conversation with several entrepreneurs who pointed out how many prominent US-based Christian entrepreneurs fail to mention their personal faith in large public platforms. It seems that too many of them would choose to shy away from this controversial topic. We debated on the reasons behind this: Maybe they prefer to separate their personal lives from their business for fear of backlash....or maybe they fail to see the connection between the two worlds at all. I will want to see more of such articles from you. Do well to include an article on 'Where Christianity and Business intersects'.

As Christians, we sometimes tend to see pursuing Business as pursuing material wealth (storing treasures on earth). Do the two go hand in hand or are they enemies of each other?

"... For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light". Luke 16:8

"I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings". Luke 16:9

"No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money." Luke 16:13.

How do you marry business and Christianity? This is The billion dollar question that can bring total liberation to Christendom.

It Takes Time We previously discussed the "EYE"s of time but did not exhaust the topic by any means. Everything takes time - especially if they are important enough to deserve our attention and effort. Here is yet another acronym: TIME, with the "t" for temperance, tenacity and transience, the "i" for indeterminate, individual, and instantaneous, the "m" for mastery, magnification, and ministry, and the "e" for experience, expectation, and excitement. It is for tenacity because we need to stick with something through boredom and hard work if we are going to see it through. It is for transience because it is passing by never to return. The moments in which we live are fleeting. The opportunities are in transit. They will soon be gone and cannot be recaptured. In summary, time is temporal and flee...
